WHY REGISTER TO VOTE?
TO DUMP
BUSH!

In growing numbers, working
people and union members agree:

This country needs a change!

Since winning control of the White House in 2000 with only 600,000 fewer votes than their opponents, President Bush and Vice President Cheney have given corporate America what it asks for, and more. George W. Bush advertised himself as “a reformer with results.”

Some results!

  • Three million factory jobs destroyed since 2001.

  • The highest unemployment rate in 15 years.

  • The worst state and local budget crisis since the Great Depression.

  • Nearly 45 million people without health insurance coverage.

  • The largest federal government budget deficit in U.S. history.

  • Huge tax cuts for rich people.

  • The largest balance of trade deficit in U.S. history.

  • Invasion of Iraq based on a lie, with no plan to bring our troops home.

  • Record-breaking gasoline and fuel prices.

  • A major pension crisis.

Had enough?

First step: voter registration. Our deteriorating situation won’t change unless you and your co-workers are registered to vote!

Here’s what you can do: ask your shop steward or union officer for a voter registration form. Or, go to www.vote-smart.org to register on-line. People may also call Project Vote Smart toll-free at 888-868-3762 for information on how to obtain a voter registration form.
