UE-prepared summary of the 2000-2003 UE-GE Tentative
Agreement is now available
online.
UE
members in UE-GE local unions have been voting on the
proposal over the last week. We will post an
announcement about the results when they become available.

Conference Board
Recommends Acceptance
WEDNESDAY,
June 28th:
Meeting
Wednesday morning (6/28) in New York, the UE-GE
Conference Board unanimously voted to recommend
acceptance of the 2000-2003 UE-GE National Agreement to
UE local unions.
This
action follows a decision on Tuesday (6/27) by the UE
Negotiating Committee to recommend acceptance as well.
The
proposed contract now goes to UE locals, which will be
taking ratification votes.
Final
Offer On Table
MONDAY,
June 26th:
Union negotiators at the small table received a final
offer from GE Monday afternoon.
UE's small table negotiators will present the
offer to the entire UE-GE
Negotiating Committee on Tuesday (6/27), with a recommendation
that the committee accept the offer.
The Negotiating Committee's
decision will then be
presented to the entire UE-GE Conference Board for
consideration on Wednesday (6/28).
