Locals Ratify
Amendments
PITTSBURGH
The amendments endorsed by the 63rd UE National Convention in August have
been overwhelmingly ratified by the membership of UE locals from coast-to-coast, Genl.
Sec.-Treas. Robert L. Clark reported last month.
The amendments raise the annual salaries of the three national officers
from $42,356 to $43,558.80, the weekly salaries of international representatives from a
maximum of $685.48 to $704.95 and the weekly salaries of field organizers from a maximum
of $651.04 to $670.04.
UE is unique in governing the salaries of officers and staff by
constitutional amendments subject to membership vote.
