New Faces on Union’s
General Executive Board
PITTSBURGH
Changes in UE district officers as a result of elections at
October council meetings will introduce a number of new faces (and reintroduce
an old one) to the union’s national leadership body. The General Executive
Board consists of presidents and secretaries of UE’s regional organizations
as well as the three national officers.
Taking office effective Nov. 1 are newcomers Barbara Prear
(Local 150), District One recording secretary; Peter Knowlton, District
Two president; Jonathan Kissam (Local 223), District Two
secretary-treasurer; LuAnn Robbins (Local 751), District Seven
treasurer; and Judy Hice (Local 1004), District 10 secretary-treasurer.
Rejoining the GEB is Pat Rafferty (Local 506), District
Six financial secretary, who served in that position in the 1980s.
The first meeting of the new GEB will take place Jan. 17-19,
2002.
