The Convention photo is tentatively set to be taken outside, weather
permitting, following the end of the opening session. In the event of inclement weather, the photo will be taken inside at
the conclusion of the opening session.
Sunday Afternoon
Committee Meetings
Committees will meet Sunday afternoon. The starting time for each committee will be up to the
committee chairperson (usually sometime between 1 and 3 pm). Actual starting times will be announced Sunday morning. Some
committee meetings may last into the evening (typically, the Resolutions Committee).

7 – 10 pm — Hannover Ballroom (Room 1), Third Floor.
Cash bar/snacks. Music, speakers and a good time. Meet UE Local 150 members and find out more about this
rapidly-growing UE Local, also known as "The North Carolina Public Service Workers Union." Sponsored by UE Local
150.

Sunday and Monday, Pine Oak Room (around the corner from the convention hall). Tuesday, Gallery, (2nd floor, right below
convention hall). Photographs, audio recordings and documents showing some of the history of organizing in NC. The featured
exhibit is artist Susan Simone's "We Are All Housekeepers". This multi-media exhibit is "in honor of the UNC
Houskeepers and the Chapel Hill Black Public Workers."

Collective Bargaining Rights
For North Carolina Public Employees!
Thousands of North Carolina state and public employees — teachers,
caregivers, housekeepers, highway and city workers and hundreds more — are denied the basic right to collective bargaining
by law. Join UE Local 150 and a broad coalition of labor, community and religious organizations in demanding the right to
collective bargaining for public employees in North Carolina. We'll be marching from the Hotel (at noon) to the
North Carolina State Capitol Building. Emcee: UE Dir. of Org. Bob Kingsley.

Immediately following Tuesday afternoon convention session, delegates, alternates and guests are encouraged to attend this
forum on NC Labor History to start your free night. Both rank and file workers and historians will give interesting and
rarely heard perspective on the history that set the stage for UE Local 150. The forum will include a visual presentation
and time for comments, questions and discussion.
